Well, well, well. I have in the very least succeeded in changing my color scheme here. That made me rather happy. I would love to customize this further by adding some artwork, but we'll see how that goes. I might consider upgrading to a paid account but I want to see if my friends actually actively post here, or if everyone's going to promptly forget about it once the new shiny of the setting up phase wears off, heh.

I'm not going to import my old entries from my LJ. There's just way too many negative posts pre-2007. I don't see a point in transferring baggage along with me, and I rather like the idea of a clean slate. Some cross-posting might occur, but for the most part I'm leaning towards keeping the two journals different. Let's see if I can stick to that. I might not have enough creative energy to stretch that far though. I guess I'll see.

Well anyway. So far I'm liking this. I hope it's a success...

I love your color scheme!! So, of course, I had to copy cat it for my very own. (It's the sincerest form of flattery, right? =D)

Actually, I didn't totally copy-cat it, but looking at your scheme helped me to figure out which color codes I wanted to change. Thank you so much for that! I'm so awful at trying to figure these things out. I spent a couple of hours playing around with it the first time, and still wasn't happy with it. I think I like what I have now, though. (I might change my mind tomorrow, though. Ack!)

I've been thinking about what to do with this journal, too. I'm a bit tempted to use it only for writing. But, when I used to have a separate LJ set up for that, I never managed to follow through on it. Hmmm. I'm definitely going to have to ponder on this a bit. I'll probably do a lot of cross-posting until I figure things out. >.O (I'm a dope!)

The black and blue is kind of an odd color scheme, but it's something I recently used for a layout on Rubberslug. (Which is why I knew these particular color codes off the top of my head ... and knew they would probably work OK together.)

Thanks so much for the URL for that color-matching/complementing site. That is going to be very useful for me in the future. I always have the hardest time picking out colors and figuring out the codes for what works together.

Hee -- I'm glad it didn't seem like I was totally copying. Flattery is one thing, but I wouldn't want you to feel ripped off! *laughs*
