Machinations from the Aviary

I want to restyle this journal to look more like the journal I have (but don't really want to use) on wordpress.

Anyone have any advice?? I tried already just adding the banner as a background image to my header but it just made the styling go wonky and no image showed up.

I've let this fall neglected. In all fairness I've been pretty absent from LJ too.

What have I been up to? Heh. I started a massive project of re-archiving all my fanfic into a writing journal. I've started scanning my WK doujinshi. I've been working on retrofitting Yohji's watch so that it actually works for my cosplay. I've been re-uploading my music collection onto my laptop. So that I can make a Yohji mix CD for one of my friends. I've been rping. You can guess who.

....

...I have a real life outside of WK. I swear. I just forget where I put it sometimes....

And now I am off to a memorial day picnic. To pretend I am a normal functioning person with real life social skills....

Well, well, well. I have in the very least succeeded in changing my color scheme here. That made me rather happy. I would love to customize this further by adding some artwork, but we'll see how that goes. I might consider upgrading to a paid account but I want to see if my friends actually actively post here, or if everyone's going to promptly forget about it once the new shiny of the setting up phase wears off, heh.

I'm not going to import my old entries from my LJ. There's just way too many negative posts pre-2007. I don't see a point in transferring baggage along with me, and I rather like the idea of a clean slate. Some cross-posting might occur, but for the most part I'm leaning towards keeping the two journals different. Let's see if I can stick to that. I might not have enough creative energy to stretch that far though. I guess I'll see.

Well anyway. So far I'm liking this. I hope it's a success...
